Share this article BANK ISLAM VISA CASH OUT SERVICE EXPANDED TO PETRONAS STATIONS IN EAST MALAYSIA 26 May 2016 Service for Bank Islam Customers Now Available at 286 Stations NationwideKOTA KINABALU, 25 May 2016 – PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB), in collaboration with Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) has expanded the cash out service for Bank Islam Visa Debit Card-i holders at PETRONAS Stations in East Malaysia, bringing the total number of stations offering the service nationwide to 286.The expansion of the service to PETRONAS Stations in Sabah (53), Sarawak (79) and Labuan (3) will provide greater ease and more avenues for Bank Islam Visa Debit Card-i holders to make direct cash withdrawals at the counter in addition to Bank Islam branches and automated teller machines (ATMs) available in those states. “We are committed to putting innovation at the heart of everything we do at PETRONAS so that customers can continue to expect new and enhanced products and services that provide further convenience and value every time they drive into our stations,” said Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, PDB at the launch of the cash out service expansion at PETRONAS Station Jalan Lintas in Kepayan, here.Dato’ Sri Zukri added, “Since its launch in April this year, the response from customers has been encouraging. With Visa cash out service launched in East Malaysia, Bank Islam Visa Debit Card-i holders can now withdraw cash with zero fees at 286 PETRONAS Station counters nationwide, bringing more choice and convenience to our cardholders,” said Ng Kong Boon, Visa Country Manager for Malaysia.The service was first made available at PETRONAS Stations in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang following an agreement that was signed between the two companies last month. The service is also available at PETRONAS Station Sungai Buloh Layby, the location for the pilot collaboration, since February.Customers now can make direct cash withdrawals through the service by first making a minimum retail purchase of RM5 for either fuel or items from Kedai Mesra. Card holders can make withdrawals of up to RM500 per cash transaction. The default maximum daily transaction is capped at RM2,000. Transactions are conducted via Bank Islam’s point of sales (POS) terminal installed at the counter. Additionally, purchases made are reflected in the transaction statement provided to customers. PETRONAS’ winning fuels are available at more than 1,000 PETRONAS Stations nationwide, with over 760 accompanying Kedai Mesra to offer a one-stop convenience centre concept of fuelling, dining, shopping, banking, car spa and other services, all under one roof.
